Things to Do in Paragould - Holiday Edition 2022
The holidays are the perfect time to spend with friends and family enjoying all the blessings of the season. If you're looking for things to do this month, we have a list of the Top 10 Things to Do this holiday season in the One and Only, Paragould.
1. Attend Downtown events.
Downtown Paragould has several events in the month of December that are sure to be fun for the family.
On Thursday, December 1 from 6-8PM, visit Centennial Park for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting. There will also be caroling.
Holiday Traditions and Market is Saturday, December 3 beginning at 10AM in the new Art Alley. It's a full day of shopping, dining, and fun. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available at $10.00 per family and Santa will be there! The Holiday Market is filled with hand-crafted goodies, baked items, and unique gift items.
An Enchanting Night awaits on Thursday, December 8 from 4-8PM. Santa and horse-drawn carriages will be Downtown. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be $10.00 per family. You can also shop extended hours and eat at one of the restaurants.
On Saturday, December 10 grab your Cocoa Crawl mug and visit Downtown businesses. They will provide ciders, cocoa, and other yummy drinks. To participate, purchase a $10 Cocoa Crawl mug at Gracefully Southern Accessories and Gifts, Sunflowers & Cotton T's Boutique, or Perfect Touch.

2. Line the streets for the annual Christmas parade.
The annual Christmas Parade will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 7PM. The theme for this year's parade is Christmas Through the Years.
3. Enjoy a show at the Collins Theatre
Sit back and relax at one of the many shows available at the Collins this holiday season.
The Nutcracker Ballet will be presented by The Elite Team Saturday, December 3 at 6:30PM and Sunday, December 4 at 2:30PM. Tickets are $19 for reserved seating and $15 for general admission. For more information, please contact Tresia Webb at 870-240-3425. You can also visit Facebook here.
On Saturday, December 10 at 7PM, join Sand Creek Band and Friends for Christmas at the Collins.
A traditional Christmas show, White Christmas will be performed by the Greene County Fine Arts Council December 15-18. Show times are as follows:
- Thursday, December 15 at 7PM
- Friday, December 16 at 7PM
- Saturday, December 17 at 2PM & 7PM
- Sunday, December 18 at 2PM

The Collins Community Choir presents A Rhapsody of Christmas on Tuesday, December 20 at 7PM. Tickets will be available for $10.00 at the door.
On December 30-31, head to the Collins for The Ultimate Oldies Show which will be a perfect way to bring in the New Year!
4. Give the gift of life.
Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and/or platelets. You can help by donating blood on Tuesday, December 8 from 12-5PM in the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Auditorium. To schedule your blood donation, visit here.
5. Listen to holiday music.
Browns Chapel Baptist Church will be hosting Christmas with Guy Penrod on Friday, December 9 at 7PM. Enjoy holiday music and celebrate Christmas. Tickets can be purchased here.

8. Visit Crowley's Ridge State Park.
Crowley's Ridge State Park has a variety of events throughout the season that are fun for the whole family. Hike their trails or plan to participate in one of their events. See their event page here for more information.
9. Experience winter magic.
Tinsel in the Trees is an imaginative holiday experience set in the middle of nature. The holiday display will be bigger and better this year with over 25,000 lights and caroling. To learn more, visit their Facebook page.
10. Shop local this season (and every season).
The Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce's annual Shop Paragould First Campaign is in full swing. Head to one of the participating businesses found here to register for your chance to win!
The Shop Paragould First Campaign focuses on bringing people to local businesses. People can go to participating businesses to put their entries into registration boxes that will make them eligible for prices. One lucky participant will receive $1,000 in Chamber Bucks, which can be spent at businesses who are members of the Chamber of Commerce. Nine other prizes of $100 in Chamber Bucks will also be awarded.
