The City Treasurer is a position appointed by the Mayor and also serves as the Mayor’s Secretary. Responsibilities and duties encompass all activities related to the receipt and collection of revenue, the safekeeping and investment of revenue, and an accurate accounting for and the disbursement of revenue. The Treasurer is also responsible for the preparation of financial reports and statements, prepares the City Council agenda and schedules appointments and meetings for the Mayor.

The Constitution of the Arkansas City Clerks, Recorders and Treasurers Association states our purpose shall be to improve the administration of local government through officials known as City Clerks, Recorders and Treasurers. It is the mission of the City Treasurer’s Office to efficiently manage and protect public funds while providing the highest level of customer service.
